One killed in an accident in Nyamira County

The middle-aged businessman died on the spot after colliding head-on with another motorbike at Tombe in Manga.

"The accident happened at Tombe area along the Kemera-Magombo highway," police said.

A police report seen by Citizen Digital shows that the deceased was identified as Innocent Nyakundi.

"He works in Gekano area. He was on his way from Magombo when the accident happened," police added.

The other rider, a teacher in a local school, sustained injuries during the incident.

Well wishers rushed him to a hospital in Kisii where he is undergoing treatment.

The body of the deceased was taken to Kisii Hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile, police are conducting investigations into the incident.
