One injured as bandits attack Nkutoto village in Samburu County

One person is undergoing treatment after he was shot by suspected bandits in Samburu County.
Hassan Lenguliani, a resident of Nkutoto in Maralal, was attacked in the wee hours of Thursday morning at his home.
The victim's brother, Paul Osmas, said that the armed bandits drove away seven cows following the attack.
"We rushed him to Samburu Referral Hospital for treatment. The gang made away with seven cows from Lenguliani's home," his Osmas added.
Samburu Deputy County Commissioner Titus Omanyi said a contingent of police officers has been deployed to trail the bandits.
"We have sent out a team comprising General Service Unit (GSU) and Kenya Police Reserve (KPR) officers to help restore calm as we pursue the suspects," police said.
