Police in the Kisauni, Mombasa County have arrested a suspect linked to gang attacks in Mshomoroni.

Kelvin Munoga, popularly known as Makaveli, is believed to be a member of a gang that has been terrorizing residents in the area.

Police officers on patrol received information about a group of youths hiding inside unfinished buildings, with the intent on engaging in criminal activities.

The officers responded to the scene, approximately one kilometer from Mjambere police station, where they encountered a group of eight youths armed with crude weapons including machetes and iron bars.

Munoga, a repeat offender linked to multiple incidents of robbery in the Junda and Kangujo, was subsequently arrested.

During a search at the scene, police recovered four pangas, one iron bar, and a mobile phone.

Efforts are underway to apprehend other suspects involved in the criminal activities.
