Sachangwan Residents in Molo, Nakuru county, are lamenting over rampant insecurity cases in the area.

This is after robbers broke into a pastor’s home and carted away five bags of maize, seven blankets and mattresses.

The owner of the home has been identified as Pastor Joel Tanui.

"They broke into my granary and stole bags of dried maize before sneaking out through a nearby maize plantation where they spend some time before melting into the darkness,” said Pastor Tanui.

The thieves are said to have loaded the stolen maize inside the plantation; dividing the loot into smaller sacks before carrying it away.

Residents complained to Wananchi Reporting about rising cases of theft mostly targeting homes.

Other products that have been targeted by the thieves include chicken, goats among other household products.

Residents said that they are often forced to close their businesses early for fear of being attacked.

They are asking the authorities to enhance security in the area.
