Migori woman seeks justice after being shot by goons 'hired by neighbour'
Beatrice Ghati Marwa, the victim, says that she was lured by the two out of her house at night as they claimed to have been sent by a senior police to get her to record a statement in connection with an attack last year.
The two are then alleged to have attacked her and shot her on her hand and chest.
According to Marwa, this is the second time she has been a victim of an attack in her home after another attack last year when there was an attempt to steal her livestock.
She says that the two told her that she needed to go and record a statement as the main suspect in her previous attack had been arrested.
Marwa, who has been receiving treatment at the Migori County Referral Hospital for three weeks, says that the suspect was arrested by the police, presented at the Kehancha court, and released on bail last year.
It is alleged that the same person planned the recent attack.
