Migori: Probe as body of unidentified man found dumped

Police in Uriri, Migori County are investigating the death of an unidentified middle-aged man whose body was found in a bush in the Komenya sub-location.

North Kanyamkago Chief  Silvance Owiti reported that the body was found by a local passing by the area.

He noted that the deceased is unfamiliar to the residents, raising suspicions that he may have been killed elsewhere and then dumped in the vicinity.

Owiti stated that authorities have yet to determine the circumstances leading to the man’s death and the identities of those involved. He confirmed that the police are actively investigating the matter.

The body has been transported to the Migori Level Four Hospital mortuary, where it will await an autopsy and further police investigation.

This incident follows the recent discovery of another body belonging to a bodaboda rider who had gone missing in Central Kanyamkago, only for his body to be found in a sugarcane plantation.
