Acting Chief Wyckliff Onyango said over 30 people have been brutally attacked by a group of unidentified youths, with the motive behind these assaults yet to be determined.
Last weekend alone, ten people fell victim to the criminal gang.
Onyango noted that the attackers barely steal from their victims, making their intentions unclear.
He emphasized the need for collaboration between local residents and security forces to dismantle the gang, which has left the community in constant fear.
He expressed concern that many victims of these attacks are reluctant to report incidents, hindering necessary action.
Residents have called for the establishment of a local police post to ensure prompt action with the presence of law enforcement agencies.
They claim that the police have been unable to respond promptly to calls for help due to a lack of vehicles for patrols.
