Kitui man sustains serious injuries after house catches fire while he was asleep
Police in the Mbooni, Makueni county, are investigating a case in which a man suffered serious injuries after his house was razed on Friday night in Miau village.
Kieti Kivindyo, 42, was sleeping when his house caught fire and he lost consciousness.
He was rescued by neighbours and taken to Makueni Referral Hospital.
Kivindyo had to be transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment as doctors in Makueni said he had sustained serious burns.
