Police in Kisumu have launched investigations after a fisherman was found dead at Dunga beach.
The body of the fisherman was found dumped inside a boat with multiple stab wounds.
Locals gathered at the beach on the shores of Lake Victoria as police officers picked the body.
"We are not sure of what transpired. We urge the police to move with speed and probe the matter," a resident said.
The deceased, a known fisherman in the area, had gone on a fishing expedition Thursday night.
Residents have called for more patrols to tame growing insecurity in the area.
