Kisii: Shopkeeper shot dead, customer injured by unknown gang

Investigations are underway after a shop attendant was shot dead by an unknown gang in Kisii County.

The incident at Chironge area in Masaba South saw the shopkeeper, identified as Thomas Achanda, shot dead.

"The assailants launched the attack at around 8:30 pm," police said in a statement.

One person was rushed to a nearby hospital after sustaining injuries during the incident.

"A customer by the name Mokaya Nyabuto was also shot," the police report reads in part.

Officers from Ramasha police station are probing the matter.
