Kirinyaga: Police nab man accused of killing friend after night out at bar

Confirming the arrest, Kirinyaga central sub-county police commander John Torori on Wednesday said the suspect, Nicholas Muriuki, was cornered at his hideout after detectives got a tip off.
The suspect has been linked to the death of Stanley Mwangi, 40.
Another suspect is still being sought.
According to Torori, the suspect and his friend are accused of beating Mwangi to death on their way back home from Mugaya shopping centre after a night out at a local bar.
“It is alleged that they got into an argument and started fighting and it ended in death,” he said.
The suspect is being held at Kerugoya police station.
According to the deceased’s brother, Charles Muthii, he tried raising an alarm and when people went out to check what was happening, the two suspects fled.
The body was taken to the Kerugoya Hospital mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
