Kirinyaga: 25-year old woman found dead, tied up

According to neighbors, Pauline Wanjiru was found dead in the house by a man identified as George Mwaura also who works with the lady’s husband as a mason.

Mwaura said he called the couple's neighbor to inform him of the incident, only to find the deceased's husband sleeping in the neighbor’s house.

Confirming the incident, Kirinyaga Police Commander Mathew Mang'ira said that the deceased 's husband and two men have recorded statements at Wang'uru police station as detectives wait for postmortem results.

“She has been tied up in a manner that resembles suicide but she is very likely that she was tied up by someone,” said Mang’ira.

“Right now, we are treating it as suicide as we wait  for postmortem. We have released them to go home as we wait for postmortem,” he added. 

The deceased’s body was taken to the Kerugoya Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
