Kakamega residents living in fear as hyenas attack sheep and villagers

Residents of Lugulu village, Likuyani constituency in Kakamega county are living in fear hyenas invaded the area and have killed their sheep and injured locals.
According to Rajab Kasim, a resident, three hyenas were spotted in their homestead and his mother was able to escape an attack by a whisker.
Residents of the area have complained of losing dozens of sheep to the hyenas and have called on the authorities to take action to deal with the menace.
Deputy chief of Moses Shiundu on Friday said that KWS officers who arrived in the area said they will deal with the menace and urged residents to exercise caution in the meantime.
