Kakamega: Residents decry poor road network in Isukha East Ward

A section of bodaboda riders have decried a poor road network in some parts of the region.

According to the bodaboda operators, the worst affected areas include Sokomoko and Matopeni villages in Isukha East Ward.

Locals called on their leaders, especially in Shinyalu Constituency, to address the matter.

Speaking at Ivihiga Centre, they noted that besides Sokomoko and Matopeni, the Ivihiga-Kisia route is also impassable.

"We are facing many challenges reaching our homes due to the damaged roads," they noted.

Efforts to reach area leaders were futile, even as locals called for prompt action.

"We urge our leaders to look into this issue by intervening and ensuring that these roads are constructed.
