Homa Bay: Suspected gangster arrested, firearm recovered by police

The suspect, 34-year-old Barnabas Okello, was apprehended by detectives from Rachuonyo North.

The detectives, acting on a tip-off from local residents, were backed by their counterparts from Kendubay Police Station.

The detectives had laid an ambush at Okello's house in South Kanyaluo, where they not only arrested him but also made several key recoveries.

Seized items included police gear, balaclavas, camouflage clothing, and several rolls of bhang.

"We would like to extend our gratitude to the vigilant members of the public whose valuable contributions continue to enhance the safety and security of their communities," police said.
