Fake KRA stamps, assorted alcoholic drinks netted in an operation in Kericho

A multi agency team comprising police officers and officials from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) have netted assorted counterfeit goods in Kericho.

According to the National Police Service, officers acting on a tip off conducted a search at a residential house at Sumeiyon village in Kericho East sub county.

"The items seized included rolls of KRA stamp, 13 drums containing a liquid suspected to be ethanol, assorted stickers and bottle tops of various companies," police said.

The officials also netted over 600 cartons of assorted vodka among other brands of alcohol.

Preliminary investigations indicate that all the items, including fake KRA stamps, were counterfeit.
