Bridging gaps in education: Underprivileged Vihiga students get boost with essential supplies

Students
from Jeptorol Primary School in Hamisi, Vihiga County, beamed with joy as
philanthropist Rogers Bwosi extended a generous hand by donating essential
supplies—with a special focus on empowering the girl child through sanitary towels.
Beyond hygiene essentials, the
school also received computers and brand-new uniforms for underprivileged
students, easing their learning journey and boosting their confidence.

Deputy County Commissioner Philip Oloo lauded the initiative, urging more
well-wishers to step forward in supporting students from disadvantaged
backgrounds.
“Kila
mara tukifanya crackdown ya kupeleka watoto shuleni, malalamishi inakuwa kwamba
hawana uniform na vifaa vya kutosha. Kwa hivo tumeshukuru sana kwa maana
nimeona uniform mingi, hii itafanya rate of school drop-outs ipungue,” said
Oloo.
The excitement was equally shared
by parents, who welcomed the donation of new uniforms with gratitude.
Jeptorol
Primary wasn’t the only school touched by this act of kindness—Gamoi, Galona,
Gidimu, and Kapsoi Primary Schools also benefited from the aid, ensuring more
young learners have the tools they need to thrive.
