Baringo: Protests over poor state of Kabarnet-Kabartonjo road

Transport along the Kabarnet-Kabartonjo road has been paralysed amid protests over its deteriorating condition. 

Residents are demanding urgent action to repair the road, which serves several institutions, including Baringo Teachers Training College. 

In their protest, demonstrators felled trees along the busy route, causing business activities to come to a halt. 

The local administration is already on the scene, with additional leaders expected to arrive to help resolve the stalemate. 

The protesters have vowed not to open the road until proper measures are implemented. 

They emphasized that the poor state of the road has led to numerous accidents, especially during the rainy season.
