The subscription-based membership will offer frequent Uber users reduced fees and loyalty perks for rides and Uber Eats orders.
Speaking during the launch on Tuesday, Uber's Head of East Africa and Head of Business Development for Africa Imran Manji said that members will pay a monthly fee of Ksh.280 or an annual price of Kshs.2,800.
Some credits under Uber One include a 10% discount on Premium rides (Uber Comfort and Uber XL) and 5% on Economy rides (Uber ChapChap) and Uber Boda.
Manji added that there will be no charges for deliveries and 100% off on service fees.
Echoing his sentiments, Uber Eats General Manager in Kenya Kui Mbugua Macharia added that the move will allow customers to receive better services seamlessly.
"We want customers to experience firsthand how Uber can make their every day more effortless,” she noted. “Uber One offers elevated access to all of Uber: rides, delivery, and groceries. Members get preferred pricing, surprise discounts, and delight perks that can make every day more fun.”
Uber piloted Uber One in Kenya in November 2024. The program is also operational in South Africa, Sri Lanka, Germany, India and the UK.
