Zetech Sparks head coach Maurice Obilo believes there is more ground to cover for his side despite a convincing win of 79-39 against Storms over the weekend.

Sparks are third in the Kenya National Basketball Women’s Premier League standings with six points after keeping a hundred-percent winning streak after three matches.

He also decried inadequate training facilities for his side not hitting top form as expected.

“The game was not up to the level we expected because we had not prepared well. The girls came back last week and they only had two sessions to train. We were not expecting any different result as we went to the game without good preparations though we did not play up to our level best,” he said.

Obilo believes they will have to go back to the drawing board and improve before facing their next opponents.

“We are hoping that this week we will pick up our training and correct a few things before we face any other team from now on. Otherwise everyone is healthy, we don’t have any injuries concerns.”

Stanbic Aces tops the league with seven points after playing four matches, winning three and losing one while defending champions Equity Hawks are second with six points after winning all their three games played so far.

Storms are last with five points after losing all their first five games with the Eldoret based side, Eldonets sitting second last on the table with five points.
