After enduring an underwhelming 2024/2025 FKF Women Premier League campaign, Trinity Starlets coach Moses Juma has attributed the team’s dismal  performance to a mass player exodus and goal-scoring struggles that began midway through the campaign.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Juma said the club lost several key players who signed for rival teams, significantly weakening his side's squad depth and consistency.

“We lost many players who moved to other clubs, and this really affected our momentum from the middle of the season. We were unable to sustain the performance we had aimed for,” said Juma.

Trinity ultimately finished the season in the eighth place on the log despite showing signs of performance, just two spots above the relegation zone, with a total of 24 points.

Further, Juma admitted that the team made avoidable errors, particularly in front of goal, and vowed to address the shortcomings ahead of the new season.

“There were mistakes like failing to convert chances in crucial games. That’s an area we are seriously working on to improve next season,” he emphasised.

Beyond his club’s internal struggles, the tactician made a passionate appeal to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and other sports stakeholders to invest more in the women’s top flight league.

He highlighted the urgent need for sponsorship and proper playing facilities to enhance the standard of competition.
