Joseph Waswa
Foundation FC head coach Hamisi Mohammed, widely known as Coach Kaka, has
expressed confidence ahead of their FKF Cup Round of 64 showdown against Kakamega
Veterans this weekend.
Following yesterday's
FKF Cup draw, Coach Kaka emphasized the team's readiness, highlighting their
thorough preparation strategy for the knockout fixture in their first
appearance at the tournament.
Speaking to
Citizen Digital, Coach Kaka affirmed that his team will engage in a series of
friendly matches to sharpen their edge before the encounter.
Aware of the
unpredictable nature of knockout football, the Webuye West-based tactician
believes proper preparations will be key to success.
“We know the
stakes are high in knockout matches, and we are leaving nothing to chance. The
team will undergo intensive training sessions and play friendly games to
fine-tune our tactics before the fixture,” said Coach Kaka.
With a wealth of
coaching experience, including a stint with Kenya’s U-20 national team, Coach
Kaka is confident that his technical expertise will be instrumental in guiding
his players within the short window available before kickoff.
"Every
training session will be maximized to improve our tactical approach and overall
match fitness," he added.
The first round
matches of the FKF Cup are scheduled for February 22nd and 23rd of this month,
and Joseph Waswa Foundation Club will be looking to make a strong statement
when they take on Kakamega Veterans.
