Ugandan striker Bbaale trains with Gor as club aim to bolster squad
Ugandan striker Charles BBaale is training with Gor Mahia as the Kenyan club weighs the prospects of signing him to bolster their ranks.
Gor CEO Raymond Oruo has in the meantime confirmed their
desire to rope in the Ugandan when the transfer market opens, but says that
will be subject to approval by the technical bench after 'thorough analysis of
his abilities'.
‘’The striker is with us in training but we have not signed
him. The transfer window opens on Friday and the technical bench will advise
the office depending on their observation,’’ said Oruo.
Bbaale previously featured for Rwandese side Ryon Sports
where he played for 18 months. He is currently a free agent following the
expiry of his contract with the Rwandese giants.
BBaale has also previously featured for Ugandan side SC
Villa. If signed by Gor, he will be joining his country mate Pius Akena who
also joined Gor at the beginning of the season.
Akena has found play time few and far between at K’Ogalo since
joining. The CEO has in the meantime said they will bolster their squad by
filling many areas they feel are wanting noting that once the transfer window
is opened, they will definitely disclose names of more players they intend to
recruit.
It is understood that Bbaale did not have enough playing
time in Rwanda which prompted him not to renew his contract. The arrival of
Bbaale will probably ignite the seemingly dimming attack in the Gor Mahia forward
which barely score goals.
Ever since the departure of Benson Omalla to a Lebanese
side, Gor have not been very sharp upfront with his strikers firing blanks in
most matches.
Omalla is also in training with Gor and our sources says he will
be loaned to Gor from his Lebanese club. He was instrumental in Gor’s tittle
triumph last term before he left for Lebanon.
According to Oruo, a number of areas in the squad need
beefing.
