Tusker reclaim FKF-PL top spot with Posta Rangers win

First half goals from Teddy Dok and David Polepole sealed the win for the Brewers to leapfrog Police FC, while Felix Oluoch scored the consolation goal for Posta Rangers.

Tusker provisionally lead the table on 44 points, two above Police FC who are in action on Saturday against Murang’a Seal at Kenyatta Stadium.

The win saw Tusker, who have struggled to capitalize on opportunities to move top, snap a five match winless run following consecutive draws.

At the same venue, Sofapaka claimed a 2-0 win over struggling Nairobi City Stars to move up to sixth place on 33 points.

City Stars remain rooted at the foot of the table with just 22 points from 24 matches. They have only one win in their last ten outings—a 1-0 victory over Ulinzi Stars.

The action continues on Saturday with reigning champions Gor Mahia hosting Bandari at Dandora Stadium from 4pm while Kakamega Homeboyz will be seeking to return to winning ways when they play host to strugglers Talanta at Mumia Sports Complex.

Ulinzi Stars play fourth placed KCB at Kenyatta Stadium while Kariobangi Sharks face Mathare United at Dandora Stadium.

On Sunday, AFC Leopards will be keen to end a two match winless run when they take on Shabana at Kenyatta Stadium while Mara Sugar host Bidco United at Green Stadium in Awendo.
