Tusker eye top spot in FKF PL, Police out to arrest Rangers
The Brewers are second on the log with 27 points, level with leaders KCB who have a superior goal difference. The Bankers are not in action until Sunday when they play City Stars.
Tusker were denied a chance to top the table last weekend after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Shabana FC at Gusii Stadium.
The Charles Okere-coached team will be boosted by the return of the league’s top scorer Ryan Ogam and midfielder Chris Erambo, who were with the national team in Zanzibar for the Mapinduzi Cup.
Ogam has notched 13 goals in 14 matches to top the scoring charts and Tusker will rely on his rich vein of form to see off Bandari.
The 20-year-old hot shot scored his first goal for the Harambee Stars during his second appearance with the team at the just concluded Mapinduzi Cup.
Bandari on the other side will be out to arrest their four-match winless run that has seen the coastal side lose further ground.
The Ken Odhiambo-coached team have registered three draws and one loss in their last four matches to condemn the team to seventh position with 22 points, five adrift of leaders KCB.
Their last match of 2024 was a painful 2-0 loss to AFC Leopards.
In another midweek fixture, Police FC will hope to continue with their recent good run when they host Posta Rangers from 1pm.
A win will see the law enforcers climb to second position.
