Trailblazing Ex-pugilist Jamil Zafa launches fitness constitution

In a bid to entrench good fitness habits amongst pugilists and fitness enthusiasts, former boxer and boxing coach Jamil Zafa has launched his first book entitled Health and Fitness Constitution.
The book focuses on health, fitness, and nutrition for all sportsmen and enthusiasts.
Zafa says the book offered him the platform to channel his
passion for the game and inspire professional athletes to take up good fitness
and nutritional habits.
"My dream was to become a boxer and
leave a legacy, but that didn't work out, so I decided to write a book, and I have
highlighted several things like exercise methods, good nutrition, eating a lot
of fruit and meat as well as alcohol and its effects and how to know your body
type." Said Jamil.
Kenya Professional Boxing Commission president Reuben
Ndolo, who was the guest of honor at the launch in a Nairobi Hotel,
congratulated Jamil for his contribution to the boxing community.
"First, I congratulate him for his good work
in writing his book, which is suitable for many sportsmen and non-sportsmen.
“This is a new awakening for us in the
boxing community," said Ndolo.
Jamil once coached Kenya's top professional boxers,
Fatuma Zarika and Rayton Okwiri, and he seeks to share his knowledge at the elite
level.
"When Zarika lost the WBC title because she was
the first champion I had trained, I told her that it was not the end of her
life.
“We got another WBF belt, and we prepared
well and won that belt. And also Rayton Okwiri; there was a time I was his
coach, and we won the ABU title," Said Jamil
Jamil, who was born in 1984 in Mombasa, Kenya, and
raised in Nairobi, loved the game of boxing when he was still a young boy.
He was involved in an accident two years ago,
which changed a lot of things in his entire life.
"The accident taught me a lot; I lost friends
except my family; I lost everything."
Jamil is the first author to ever write a fitness
book in Kenya and the second in East Africa.
