The Switch spark to life to electrocute Safe Spaces

The Swish put up a dominannt display to crush newbie Safe Spaces 52-33 in a National Women's Basketball Premier League match staged Saturday at the Nyayo Gymnasium.
The two sides have been struggling in the campaign
but on Saturday it was The Swish who got off the blocks to a flyer as
each side battled to ward off relegation.
Safe Spaces claimed the first quarter 13-12 in a close contest but The Swish bounced back to claim a 13-05 win as
the game went to halftime with the latter leading 25-18.
The Swish maintained their good run as they
won the third quarter 15-05 before another 12-10 victory in the fourth
quarter as the game ended 52-33 at the final buzzer.
The Swish head coach Ariel Okal was impressed
with his girls’ performance.
"The girls really showed up to work
and they pushed themselves to get the victory. We still have areas we need to
improve on as we look forward to finishing the first leg in high spirits,
" Okal said.
Marion Precious was the star of the
afternoon scoring game high 15 points as the trio of Lavendor Opondo, Cynthia Kiptoo, and
Linet Boyani added 24 points combined.
On the other hand quadrant Mary Ajiabo, Sarah
Aporo, Linet Obonyo and Millicent Ouma dropped 25 points combined for Safe
Space.
So far The Swish have played 11 games
winning three and losing eight to nail 14 points while Safe Spaces have won two
games, lost six in the eight games played to accumulate 10 points.
