Teremi Boys football team now eye Western regional crown after county success

 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association Bungoma County football champions Teremi Boys High School are aiming to clinch the Western region title after qualifying for the first time, stopping everyone to claim the county’s crown.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Teremi’s head coach Moses Wafula assured the team's supporters and Bungoma residents that the regional title is within their reach, saying he understands their opponents' playing systems well.

"Looking at how our opponents play, I can assure Bungoma County residents that the Western region's boy’s football title is coming home. I know how Butere Boys play, I have met them before and that gives us an advantage in our pool. I have never played against the likes of Musingu but I've been monitoring their game plan and I believe we can pull a result against these giants," Wafula noted.

The tactician also added that his players have undergone solid preparations, including participation in the Bungoma County League—an experience he says has given them valuable exposure.

"We have prepared very well for the upcoming assignments, including participating in the Bungoma County League. There is an area that I see has a weakness, the boys are motivated and ready to battle."

The Western region secondary school games are scheduled to kick off on July 9 at St. Peters Boys High School in Mumias, Kakamega County.

Teremi have been placed in Group ‘B’ alongside John Osogo, Ebwali, and Butere.
