Suspects, among them wife of former athlete Kandie charged in Eldoret court over his murder

Three prime suspects among them the wife of retired marathoner Samson Kandie have been charged in Eldoret High Court with his gruesome murder.

Appearing before Justice Reuben Nyakundi, Rose Chepkemboi Rotich who is a clinical officer at Kabarnet county referral hospital,  Jamlick Kiptoon Morogit and Vincent  Ngososei Kiprono denied the murder charge.

They are charged that, on October 3, 2024, they killed. Samson Kandie at his Elgon View estate in Kesses sub county, Uasin Gishu County.

Justice Nyakundi directed the accused persons to file their applications for bond through their lawyers within five days.

Nyakundi directed that the accused persons be remanded at Eldoret GK Remand Prison until December 2, 2024 when he will give further directions.

The marathoner was brutally killed on the fateful night of October 3 2024 AT his Elgon View estate on the outskirt of Eldoret town. According to the police report, Kandie’s legs and hands were tied and his phone stolen but no other belongings were taken from his house.
