St Anthony Kitale head coach Peter Mayoyo has expressed his excitement with the sharpness his strikers have shown in recent matches.

The strikers have scored 34 goals in five matches at the zonal level, and they hope to score more in the sub-county games scheduled for next weekend.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Mayoyo said he is hoping to see more improvement from the strikers in the coming matches.

“I am very pleased with what I have seen from my players in the last few matches that we have played. They have been on top of the games, especially my strikers, and I hope to see more from them in the coming games,” said Mayoyo.

Mayoyo also notes the increased level of competition from their rivals - St Josephs Kitale, Goseta High School, and Laiser Hill. He is, however, confident of defeating them if they clash at any stage of the competition.

“They have a good team, and we have to be on top of our game heading to the next level of the competition. They expect a good fight from us, “added Mayoyo.

The veteran tactician also highlighted their aim of winning both the national and East African titles that will be played in Rwanda in August.

“Our aim heading forward is to conquer the region again as we did in 2019 in Arusha. We are taking one game at a time to improve every aspect on the pitch,” he stated.
