St. Anthony Kitale determined to recapture hockey title from Musingu

St. Antony Kitale hockey team head coach Kevin Lugalia is confident the team will reclaim the national title which they lost to Musingu High School over the last two years.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, the head coach said they have already begun preparations for the new season and is impressed by the quality of the players in his rank.

“We have already began our preparations for the game; the team look good and impressive and we are determined to reclaim the national title from our rivals,”said Lugalia

The former champions have twice lost to Musingu in the national final but he believes they are ready to beat other rivals at different levels on their way to the national.

“Every level of the competition has very good teams; we have to take one game at a time, that is our game plan this season,” added Lugalia.

As they continue with preparations, the veteran tactician admitted they need to work on their defense to avoid conceding easy goals.

“Defense is key; that is the area we are working to improve on and I am sure we will be ready,” stated the head coach.
