The Kabras Sugar forward who broke to the rugby scene two years ago while turning out for Koyonzo Secondary school has risen to stardom in the Kenyan rugby scene guiding Kabras Sugar to Dala 7s win in last year's National Sevens Circuit.
He says his call up to the national team is a dream come true.
"Being called up to the National team is just a dream come true. It's a big achievement for me and I thank God for that. It's something I've dreamt about and I've been wanting to achieve," observed Siketi.
The 2024 Africa Barthes trophy champion says he's picked up some valuable lessons having trained with the best of the best in Kenyan rugby.
"I've learned a lot from the senior guys; they are humble and create rapport with the rest of the team. They are fun to train with; they offer advice where necessary so it's been a good experience. It's just been an humbling experience playing or training alongside some of the guys I have been watching on TV."
Siketi says he's upbeat and positive of the team's chances in Vancouver and will look to give his contribution to ensure the team performs well.
"The fans should expect some good games; we are going there to give our best and our aim is winning the tournament. I feel proud making the debut being among the youngest to ever do it and I will give my best. We urge the fans to support us and we won't disappoint them."
Kenya are in Pool A alongside Perth 7s champions Argentina, Olympic champions France and Great Britain.
