The national sevens team Shujaa have intensified their preparation ahead of their return to the HSBC world sevens series.

Shujaa who will be making their return to the series are looking forward to start on a high when the season starts in Dubai later this month and according to the strength and condition coach Andrew Amonde, the players look physically fit to begin the campaign.

“The players have improved physically since they returned to training; we are impressed by what I have seen and we  are looking forward to see more improvement from the team in the coming days,” said Amonde.

Having participated in this year’s Olympic Games in Paris, France, the former Shujaa captain believes the experience gained during the games will count in helping their performances in the series.

“They learned some good lessons during the Olympics, and got a feel on what to expect during the series; and I believe we will see better performances,” added Amonde.

The KCB tactician is also impressed with the blend of the experience and young players heading to the series.

“The senior players have really helped the young ones to adopt to our philosophy quickly which is really impressive and we are looking forward to see more improvement from the team,” stated the former captain.

The series will begin in Dubai between the 30th November until the 1st of December before heading to Cape Town between the  7th of December  and 8th the same month.
