Shanderema, Mukumu advance to final

Shanderema Boys and Mukumu Boys have
advanced to the final of the ongoing Kakamega East (Shinyalu Sub-County) High
School competition.
In the first semi-final, Shanderema also known as ‘The Eagles, ‘dominated Shamiloli with a 4-0 victory at Lugala Secondary School. The goals were scored by McLaren Migasha, Fabregas Jethro, Ernest Omondi, and Abdalah Khalumi.
Meanwhile, Mukumu Boys secured their place in the final by defeating Shidodo 4-1 in a match played at Solyo Secondary School.
Shanderema Boys topped Group B with seven points, competing against Shidodo, Lunyu, and Mukulusu Secondary Schools.
Mukumu Boys dominated Group A, winning all three of their matches against Shamiloli, Shabwali, and Fesbeth Academy.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, KSSSA Coordinator Donald Muhanji expressed confidence that the tournament would produce top-tier teams capable of progressing to the county level and even the East African Games.
"I believe tomorrow we shall produce the best team that will head to the East African Games. We have had a good competition,” Muhanji said.
The much-anticipated final between Shanderema Boys and Mukumu Boys is expected to be a tough contest, as the winner will secure a spot in the Kakamega County stage.
The match will be played tomorrow, 2025 (Madaraka Day) at Lugala Secondary School.
