Shabana head coach Sammy Okoth has admitted the club has yet to solidify its transfer plans ahead of their return to the FKF Premier League.

He denied reports that they want to recruit 10 new players, saying such a decision will be at a later stage of their pre-season.

The National Super League (NSL) champions, who returned to the top division for the first time in 17 years, only resumed training this week.

“We have just resumed training, I will meet the management to know if plans we had put in place are being worked on.

“The KPL is different from the NSL and yes you’ll need additions, but I don't know what the management is planning,” noted Okoth.

A couple of players have already left the club including striker Cornelius Juma, who has returned to Kenya Police FC after a short loan stint with the club.

Although Okoth declined to reveal the number of players that have already left the club, reports indicate that Cornelius Lusaka, Dennis Wafula and former FC Talanta Midfielder Morris Dukuly have been released upon the expiry of their contracts.

Shabana begin their season with a clash against Muranga Seal on August 26.
