Sam Nyamweya to outline football vision in FKF presidential bid
Former Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president Sam Nyamweya is set to officially declare his candidacy for the federation's leadership next Thursday.
During the event, which will take place at a Nairobi hotel, Nyamweya will outline his vision for Kenyan football while celebrating his past contributions and legacy from his previous tenure as FKF president.
His campaign team has emphasized that his run will focus on his achievements and lasting influence in Kenyan football, highlighting his commitment to the sport’s growth and development.
The event will feature keynote addresses from prominent football stakeholders, including football legends and influential figures from the sports community.
“We are excited to launch the FKF President Emeritus Sam Nyamweya campaign, which acknowledges the hard work and dedication of those who have shaped our football landscape,” said Peter Karanja, Head of the Sam Nyamweya Campaign Secretariat. “This campaign is about unity, heritage, and a shared vision for the future of football in Kenya.”
Attendees will also have the chance to participate in discussions on the future of Kenyan football, focusing on enhancing grassroots initiatives. The event will provide networking opportunities and showcase FKF’s upcoming projects.
He joins Murang'a SEAL Vice- Chairman Hussein Mohamed and ex-international Sammy 'Kempes' Owino, as some of the aspirants who have declared interest in the football top seat.
