Safari Rally eats its own as six drivers get trapped at Moran

The WRC Safari Rally proved that it spares no one not even the locals as six local drivers and a host of others struggled to navigate Safari's longest stage, the camp Moran.

Safari has served it's earliest warning in the opening Kasarani Super Special stage but made true it's threat in the opening stage of day two as six local drivers suffered various complexities that ultimately cost them time and position in the rally on Friday.

The biggest local casualty of the day was  Hamza Anwar whose Safari came to a sudden halt after he was deemed "very late" to rejoin the rally

Aakif Virani and Nickil Sachania both retired with mechanic problems but we're able to rejoin later albeit with a huge time dent that was almost unrecoverable in the same day.

Day three (Saturday) will be more brutal as drivers will have to tackle the rocky, rutty and gravy Sleeping warrior first, before heading to Elementaita and rounding off in Soysambu which is the main spectator stage for the day.
