Kenya Police FC team manager George Maelo has backed his side to take the battle for the FKF-Kenya Premier League title to the wire if need be, warning that they will not relinquish their lead without a fight.

Maelo says their players and technical bench are highly motivated, and they are putting in the right effort to make sure they deliver their first league title.

“We are determined to win the title. We will fight until the end of the season because we believe we have what it takes to be champions.

“I believe in the team and every member of the squad,” said Maelo

The team manager also lauded the new head coach, Etienne Ndayiragije, for his impact on the team, saying his experience has been key to the team’s recent form, and the management has been impressed with his work.

“They have some good enough experience during the confederation match and by winning the league, the players will want to be exposed more continental and with CHAN coming to Kenya every local player will want to be part of the team.

“That another factor that is keeping the players going,”added Maelo

With the transfer window now open for the former Sofapaka captain, they won’t be quick to rush into the market and will wait for guidance from the technical bench.

“Won’t rush to sign players we will wait for advice from the technical bench and find the way forward ,” stated the team manager
