Oyoo vows to take Msa Olympic to Women Kenyan Premier League

Zone A Women National Super League (NSL) side Mombasa Olympic will build on their impressive first half of the season to accelerate their Premier League bid, head coach Joseph Oyoo has said.

Olympic avoided defeat in their first leg matches, and the coach believes they can better the record in the second leg, having bolstered his squad with new players.

They top the Zone A after eight matches, with 22 points out of possible 24, but Oyoo wants the ladies to be even hungrier in the second stanza of the season.

"We've signed new players, the squad is tight and we hope that the new recruits will help us keep our momentum and even do better. Our target is that we transition to the FKF Women Premier so that the Coast region can also be represented," said Oyoo.

In the eight matches, Mombasa Olympic failed to win in only one match, which they drew Mathare United Women. They are already looking forward to the first clash of the second leg.

"We have finished the first leg which we played very well. We lost two points only; the first which was a draw against Mathare. We have finished unbeaten. Right now we are preparing for the second leg - our first match will be against Kilifi. My hope is that we will do better," added Oyoo.
