The win has reignited the team's confidence and will be keen to register a second successive win on the bounce when they travel to St. Sebastian Park in Murang'a County to confront Murang’a Seal this weekend.
Before Sunday's victory, Bandari had gone seven league matches without a win but Odhiambo believes the tide is turning in their favour.
“We really needed that win, and now the momentum is back. I hope we can stay unbeaten for four or five games and get back to where we belong,” said Odhiambo.
Bandari are seventh in the league standings on 26 points, three points above Murang’a Seal who lie tenth.
With hopes of securing back-to-back wins for the first time in over two months, the team is fully prepared for a challenging match.
“We know it will be tough, but we are ready and energized to get all three points," Odhiambo added.
Bandari also welcomed Geoffrey Ojunga back to the squad on Sunday after a long injury layoff.
The midfielder played over 20 minutes in the win, and Odhiambo is optimistic about his contribution moving forward.
“I was hesitant to introduce Ojunga against City Stars because he is only 80% fit, which is why he came on late," Odhiambo explained. "But we know what he can do when he's fully fit—he's good with the ball, strong, and a threat in set pieces. His return will give us more options in midfield.”
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Bryne Omondi remains sidelined due to injury, leaving second-choice keeper James Omusinde to continue between the sticks.
Omusinde earned his first clean sheet after a series of tough performances, earning praise from the coach and fans alike.
“We spoke to Omusinde and reminded him that we lose as a team. He shouldn't feel the pressure from the fans. He's a very talented goalkeeper, but he's still working on his composure. If he stays with us longer, I believe he can become one of the best in Kenya.”
