Speaking to Citizen Digital on Friday, Odhiambo emphasised that no team is small on the field, and therefore his players must work hard to ensure an early victory.
This will help them avoid the risk of being punished at home, while also boosting their chances of progressing further in the competition.
"Every game is crucial to us. We respect Al Azizia, and I urge my players to give their best in this match and secure a win," he said.
Odhiambo also noted that Bandari’s forwards need to step up their game in this match, especially after the team has struggled to find their finishing touch in recent matches.
He stressed the importance of attacking with intensity to score more goals and build the team’s morale.
"With Halafu, Makwata, Tanui, and Beja, I'm confident we’ll start scoring more goals and winning matches, which will help us keep moving forward," Odhiambo stated.
In the first round of the league matches, Bandari FC won 2-0 away against Rwafa FC in a match played at Ukunda Showground, Kwale County.
The victory demonstrated Bandari’s potential, and now Coach Ken expects his players to carry that momentum into the match against Al Azizia to progress to the next round.
In 2019, Bandari FC won the Cup and earned a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the first round, they were drawn against Al Ahly Shendi of Sudan, securing a 0–0 draw at home and a 1–1 draw away in Shendi, which resulted in their elimination of the Sudanese side.
In the second round, Bandari FC faced US Ben Guardane of Tunisia, defeating them in a similar manner.
Al Azizia eliminated PAC University by solitary goal to book a date with the Dockers.
