After more than a month without
playing, Strathmore Blades head coach Tony Ochieng is ready for weekend matches
when they face Equity Dumas and USIU Tigers in the Kenya Men’s Basketball
Premier League.
The students who have been away for
close to a month will be paying the bankers on Saturday at the Nyayo
Gymnasium from 6:00pm before tackling fellow varsity side USIU on Sunday
at the same venue at the same time.
“We have been having some commitments
including exams; I will be taking about every game with all the seriousness it
deserves as they are very crucial games for us. The long break has given us ample time to
prepare adequately,” Ochieng said.
At the same time, Ochieng has hinted at his
strategy for their double header.
“Our primary focus is just to play a well-coordinated game, cover our weak
areas, we know our strength, we know our opponents’ weaknesses and we just
need to build from that,” Ochieng added.
