While speaking to Citizen digital ahead of the games, Kisumu Day head coach, Booker Odhiambo, says he has been winning for the last five times and believes his team will win again.

"We have been winning for five years now and I believe we will still win. This is the pool of death given that Masara is listed while St. Mary's Yala, despite being their first time, their coach is a regular on National matches and we can not look down on any team but we still hope that we will win."
