NSL: MOFA focused on season targets despite lukewarm first leg
National Super League side Michael Olunga Football Academy
(MOFA) head coach Alfred Chole has admitted that his charges fell short of the
targets he had set for the first leg of the 2024-25 season.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Chole revealed that
he had aimed for over 33 points in the opening half of the campaign, but his
squad managed to collect 30 points, placing them in 6th position on the league
table.
Despite the minor setback, Chole expressed
optimism about the second leg, assuring MOFA fans that the team will come back
stronger and push to achieve their overall season objective.
"We didn't quite hit our target for the first
leg, but I believe in the quality and determination of this squad.
“We will regroup, correct our mistakes, and ensure that we
achieve our goal in the second leg," Chole stated.
MOFA currently trails league leaders Nairobi
United by ten points.
However, with the second leg offering another opportunity to
close the gap, Chole is confident that his side can mount a serious challenge
and improve their position in the standings.
