NSL: Fortune's Otimong eyeing victory at Msa United
Fortune FC head coach Michael Otimong
wants his charges to build on last weekend's 1-0 win over 3K FC, when they take
on hosts Mombasa United on Saturday in a National Super League (NSL) match.
The coach is however careful not to pile pressure on his
players, saying he is taking one game at a time.
He however wants a win in Mombasa,
although he admits it will be a difficult task knowing the difference in altitude.
“My
boys are ready for the match, we are not fearing our opponents neither are we
underrating them because of their position but we are weary of the harm they
can cause us but we are ready for them and ready to get the maximum points,"
he stated.
He says his objective at the end of the season is to have the
team promoted to the Premier League, and is adamant their mission is
achievable.
“National Super League is the hardest League in Kenya but we are
going to give it our all and make sure that the objective we had at the onset
of the season [of getting promoted to Premier League] is achieved at the end of
this season.
"We
are taking each match at a time with our eyes fixed on the prize. We just pray
we will be injury free and we are going to achieve this,” explained the coach.
In other Saturday fixtures league leaders Dimba Patriots
will be away to Nairobi United, while third-placed Naivas FC will be taking on
Muhoroni Youth.
Vihiga United who are second on the
log with seven points, will be at home to MOFA as bottom placed Kisumu All
Stars host Luanda Villa at Moi Stadium.
