National Super League side 3K FC took advantage of the past
weekend to focus on intensive training and tactical adjustments instead of
engaging in competitive action.
According to the team’s assistant coach, Moses
Munene, the break provided an opportunity to rectify mistakes as they prepare
for their upcoming fixture against Mombasa Stars.
Speaking to Citizen Digital, Munene expressed
confidence that the team is ready to return to winning ways after enduring a
tough spell in their recent matches. The club has failed to secure a victory in
their last three outings, a slump that has seen them drop further in the league
standings.
“We did not have a match over the weekend,
and we used that time wisely to work on strength and conditioning,” Munene said.
Currently sitting in 11th place with 29 points, 3K
Club is eager to climb the table and stake a claim for a spot in the top five.
Munene believes that a victory against Mombasa Stars will reignite their push
for a higher finish in the NSL standings.
“This is a crucial match for us even though we
beat them 3-1 in the reverse fixture. Mombasa Stars have reinforced with
significant signings but a win will be a big boost as we aim to break into the
top five,” he added.
With the league entering a critical phase, 3K Club’s
performance in the coming fixtures will be key in determining their season’s
trajectory.
The upcoming clash against Mombasa Stars presents a perfect
opportunity for Munene’s side to turn their form around and make a strong
statement in the NSL.
