National Super League side 3K FC are confident ahead of a
crucial weekend showdown against Luanda Villa amid next season's top tier
league push.
Fresh off a hard-fought 3-2 win over Mombasa Stars, the club is determined to extend the winning momentum and solidify their position in the NSL.
Speaking to Citizen
Digital ahead of the fixture, club's assistant coach Moses Munene expressed
optimism about the team's current form and focus. “The boys are highly
motivated after last weekend’s win. We want to carry that energy into the match
against Luanda Villa and get another positive result,” Munene said.
Currently building steady momentum, 3K FC have eyes firmly
set on breaking into the top three of the NSL standings. Munene revealed that
finishing in the top three remains the team's main goal this season.
“Our target is clear—to finish among the top three teams,
and we are preparing with that mindset,” he emphasized.
After the away fixture against Luanda Villa, 3K FC are scheduled
to host two back-to-back home matches. Munene sees this as a golden opportunity
to pile pressure on the league leaders and close the points gap.
“We’re looking forward to making the most of our upcoming
home games. With strong support and consistent performance, we believe we can
make a serious push towards the top,” he added.
The tactician also added that it will be an advantage for
his men against the visitors who were not in action at the weekend. Munene said
players relax when they are not engaged, a scenario that he is keen to maximize
on when the two sides lock horns.
