As the 2024/25
National Super League season nears the end, defiant 3K FC have vowed to deny Kenyan
Premier League bound Nairobi United an early coronation when the two sides face
off next weekend.
Nairobi United
only need three points to be crowned champions of the National super League to automatically book their slot in next
season's FKF Premier League campaign. On the hand, 3K FC have nothing to lose
after maintaining their status quo in the NSL next season courtesy of a
comfortable mid table position.
Speaking to Citizen Digital ahead of the much
anticipated fixture, 3K's assistant coach, Moses Munene, is confident of
building on the 2-0 victory they secured against Mombasa United last Sunday.
Munene says his
men will try to delay their opponent's early coronation as the outfit wants to
finish the season in a better position.
"We really
want to end the season on a high. We managed to beat Mombasa United 2- 0, a
very technical and experienced side, after dominating them in both halves. Up
next is against Nairobi United, another strong side, but we will try to delay
their title championship celebration," Munene said.
With five
matches remaining before the league concludes, Nairobi United top the standings
with 63 points, while 3K sit in ninth place with 43 points.
