Nairobi International Cup launches 2025 calendar with new lineup

The Nairobi International Cup (NaiCup), East Africa’s premier grassroots football tournament, has officially launched its 2025 calendar, featuring an expanded lineup of events aimed at developing young football talent.

NaiCup is East Africa’s premier grassroots football tournament, dedicated to developing young talent and fostering the next generation of football stars. Established as a platform to bridge the gap between aspiring footballers and professional opportunities, NaiCup provides a structured and competitive environment that showcases Kenya’s vibrant football culture on a global stage

Kicking off the year is the Under-13 Boys NaiCup Legacy Tournament, taking place on March 1st,2025, at the Two Rivers Sports District, in partnership with Swim Africa. This tournament will feature 16 teams in the group stages, to quarter finals all the way to finals. 

"This year, NaiCup is bigger and better, offering more opportunities for young players to be scouted and gain exposure," said Kevin Akumu, NaiCup Founder and Tournament Director. "The Legacy Cup is the perfect way to kick off the year, setting the stage for an exciting season of football development."

Confirmed teams for NaiCup 2025 Under-13 Boys Legacy Cup include Dreams Soccer Academy, New Hope Soccer Academy, La Masia SC, Blue Bombers Academy, Ted Soccer Academy, Runda Union Football Academy, Masters Sports Academy.

Others are; Black Spear Sports, Ballers Soccer Academy, Skillz Football Club, Soka Talent A, Soka Talent B, Soka Talent C, Excellence Football Academy, Tenacity Sports, and Lace Up

The NaiCup Legacy Cup is the first of several high-profile events lined up for the year, providing a structured pathway for youth footballers to develop and compete at the highest levels.
