Mwaura Hails Omalla’s Consistency in Nairobi United's title pursuit

Omalla, the younger brother of Gor Mahia striker Benson Omalla, bagged a brilliant brace in the emphatic win, underlining his growing importance to the title-chasing side.
He has so far netted 11 goals for the title-chasing Nairobi United, and is showing no signs of relenting.
The former Manyatta United player - that features in the National Division Two League - has been in impressive form, also finding the net recently with a thunderous strike against Darajani Gogo FC.
Speaking exclusively to Citizen Digital, coach Mwaura lauded the young striker's work ethic and consistency.
“It always starts from training. It’s something he has been working on for so long. That’s why he’s been exceptional today, but I know there’s a lot more coming from him,” said Mwaura.
Nairobi United currently sits at the summit of the NSL table with 52 points, three ahead of second-placed APS Bomet, Kibera Black Stars and Naivas FC closing in the top 4 with 41 points and 40 points respectively after 25 matches.
With 11 matches remaining, the race for promotion to the FKF Premier League is heating up, and Mwaura wants his boys to keep the focus exhibited so far.
Mwaura acknowledged the stiff competition from APS Bomet but remained optimistic about his team’s chances.
“They have 11 games to go, just like us, and I believe everything will fall into place. We are taking one game at a time,” averred Mwaura.
Omalla and his teammates now shift focus to the FKF Cup, where they are set to face Premier League side KCB this weekend in the round of 16.
